Job Description

The Mechanical Engineer assists in implementing best practices for mechanical maintenance, both routine and unplanned, to optimize equipment efficiency and uptime. You will need to ensure timely completion of maintenance and repair works to enhance plant reliability. Additionally, you will actively participate in safety programs and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety in daily activities.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  • Oversee and manage all mechanical maintenance activities, aligning with the Master Plan Schedule to ensure optimal equipment uptime.

  • Implement and execute preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance programs for mechanical equipment, VIE backup systems, and H2 & Helium Bunkers.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all maintenance activities within CMMS & MAXIMO, and generate comprehensive monthly maintenance reports.

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for reliability issues and develop effective preventive action plans.

  • Provide prompt response to equipment failures, including on-site presence within 2 hours for call-back maintenance, and investigate to recommend cost-effective solutions.

  • Ensure swift rectification of equipment failures to minimize downtime, optimize process equipment efficiency, and ensure product supply continuity.

  • Ensure adequate spare parts availability for process equipment and VIE tanks, establish stock control processes for new plants, and conduct annual stock take for EL Mechanical spares.

  • Respond promptly to customer calls, provide timely on-site support, and ensure efficient restoration of equipment to operational status following failures.

  • Execute work orders raised by the operations team in a timely manner.

  • Provide training for mechanical equipment to operation staff and support operation managers in addressing customer queries and audits.

  • Minimize equipment downtime, ensure successful implementation of the Maximo maintenance management system, and conduct quality and safety audits. Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance strategies to optimize costs and enhance equipment reliability.

  • Manage Risk Assessments (RA) and Method of Statements (MOS) for mechanical equipment, propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability, and actively participate in standardization task forces.

Are you a MATCH?

  • Familiarity with preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of plant equipment

  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for rotating and static mechanical equipment

  • Customer-oriented approach with strong ownership and team management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and internal stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel to various plant sites for maintenance and troubleshooting support

  • At least 2 - 3 years of experience is preferred.
