Allegheny Health Network’s Cancer Institute (AHNCI) is actively seeking a Radiation Oncologist for the Forbes AHNCI site in Monroeville, PA (eastern suburb of Pittsburgh).
Highlights:
- AHN is seeking a patient-oriented clinician with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills to provide state-of-the-art care to patients. Participation in active multidisciplinary tumor boards and experience with clinical trials is available and encouraged.
- APEX accredited institution offering a full range of treatment modalities, including 3DCRT, IMRT/VMAT, IGRT, SBRT, LDR/HDR brachytherapy.
- The 34,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Cancer Center at Forbes opened on the AHN Forbes Hospital campus in 2019.
- Facility is equipped with two Elekta Versa HD Linear accelerators, CT simulation, Mosaiq EMR, Monaco treatment planning, motion management and currently adding surface guided imaging, with onsite physics/dosimetry, medical oncology and radiology services.
- The Forbes ANHCI office is part of a larger network providing high-quality Radiation Oncology services to our patients through 17 hospital-based and freestanding facilities in Western Pennsylvania and Ohio.
- AHN’s Cancer Institute currently employs 22 radiation oncologists and 19 physicists.
- Opportunities for resident teaching, collaborative research and protocol enrollment are available.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
- Completion of an ACGME-approved Radiation Oncology residency program
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Licensed in the state of Pennsylvania prior to employment
- Recent graduates and experienced Radiation Oncologists will be considered
- The successful candidate should have demonstrated clinical skills and have a proven record of exceptional interactive skills with colleagues, patients, and staff.
