Job Description

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Registered Manager on behalf of its client’s Children’s Residential Care team in Cumbria. This is a unique opportunity to lead a solo children’s home, providing 2:1 trauma-informed care to one child at a time. Your experience and leadership will be instrumental in creating a safe, nurturing environment where meaningful change happens.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Oversee the operation of a solo occupancy home, creating safe, nurturing environments for children with complex needs.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a dedicated care team committed to delivering exceptional outcomes.
  • Ensure home meets and exceeds regulatory standards, including Ofsted expectations.
  • Collaborate with external professionals to support each child’s individual journey.
  • Embed therapeutic practices and a culture of stability, safety, and high standards from day one.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience managing a children’s home
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • In-depth knowledge of SCCIF, Children’s Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
  • A resilient, trauma-in
