Job Description

As an Observability Engineer you’ll play a critical role in building, scaling, and embedding enterprise‑grade observability across our technology landscape, enabling reliable, secure, and high‑performing services.

You’ll thrive in this position if you’re technically hands‑on, collaborative, and proactive, with a strong DevOps mindset and a passion for cloud platforms, telemetry, and operational excellence in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously evolve our Datadog observability platform across logs, metrics, traces, APM, RUM, monitoring, and security use cases.
  • Define and implement reusable observability standards for dashboards, alerting, and logging across engineering and business domains.
  • Embed observability into cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring telemetry quality and automation by design.
  • Partner with engineering, SRE, security, and operations teams to improve incident detection, service reliability, and time to resolution.
  • Enable self‑service observability through documentation, dashboards, reporting, and executive‑level visibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Datadog across logs, metrics, APM, dashboards, and monitors.
  • Solid understanding of observability principles, including telemetry types, SLOs, distributed tracing, and reliability metrics.
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, instrumentation, and integrations.
  • Practical experience with AWS and Azure monitoring services and their integration into observability platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience operating observability platforms at scale in complex or high‑volume environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container‑based observability patterns.
  • Background in SRE, production operations, or performance engineering.

This position will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
