Verizon’s Supply Chain Services is transforming the Global Strategic Sourcing Group and seeks dynamic Sourcing Professionals to join our team. As a Senior Sourcing Manager, your core objective is to manage strategic supplier relationships (primarily Google and Motorola), negotiate funding for Device Promotions, and enhance revenue and profit margins. You will achieve this by leading the Promotions Negotiations with OEMs and creating contracts that optimize revenue generation opportunities and ultimately grow margin and shareholder value.
What you’ll be doing...
Negotiation & Sourcing: Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing processes, taking the lead on contract negotiations, contracting promotional frameworks, and funding terms.
Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage supplier relationships to maintain positive, ethical, and strategic partnerships. Build collaborative relationships with internal business partners, earning their respect to serve as a Trusted Advisor.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead Cross Functional Teams (CFTs) to develop Verizon’s requirements, reach consensus on commercial approaches, and ensure milestones and contracting dates are met.
Promotion Lifecycle Support: Actively engage in Device Marketing promotions from strategy and planning through implementation.
Financial Tracking & Reporting: Maintain calculations and track promotion benefits throughout the product lifecycle. Prepare benefit reporting for executive teams and recommend strategic adjustments to maximize promotional benefits with each OEM.
Contract Drafting & Optimization: Draft necessary contract language to translate business needs into specific requirements, such as Statements of Work (SOW), Letters of Authorization (LOAs), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Identify opportunities for contract improvements, simplifications, and contacting framework optimization.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Relevant experience working for an operator or OEM within the telecommunications industry, specifically with a background in Mobile Promotions/Propositions.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, or relevant work experience.
Experience with bids, RFPs, and direct negotiations (covering business, price, and technical terms). Solid knowledge of Strategic Sourcing processes, policies, and procedures.
Proven experience in drafting essential contract documents (SOWs, LOAs, etc.).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic international environment.
Even better if you have:
Master's degree or an equivalent advanced degree.
Experience working across different markets.
Working knowledge of OEM Sourcing and promotions best practices.
