Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive and operate safely on and off the project sites
- Pre and Post Trip inspection of the truck and trailer in compliance with DOT regulations
- Fuel and grease truck daily
- Perform tasks involving hauling dirt on project jobsite or between project jobsites
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Class A CDL License
- Air Brakes cert
- Current Medical Card
- 2+ year’s construction experience of hauling dirt
- Knowledgeable of DOT regulations
- Willingness to learn and accept direction from supervisors
- Communication and interpersonal skills are a must
- Ability to manage time, multitask, and prioritize
Working Conditions
- Travel – The position is located in Clyde, NC area or the Charlotte, NC area, with the potential of other locations throughout the Eastern Region.
- Construction Site Environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Lifting and carrying material and objects.
