About the role
Agile Product Owner Advisor
Position Overview
As a member of the ICORE Technology Product Management Team, the Data Integration Services (DIS) Technical Product Owner is responsible for managing and championing the delivery of enterprise-wide APIs, data pipelines, and integration platform capabilities that enable scalable, reusable services across Cigna and Evernorth.
This role partners closely with Product Managers, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define and deliver modern data and integration products, leveraging APIs, cloud-native data pipelines, interoperability standards, DevOps-aligned delivery practices, and AI technology. In addition to supporting foundational platform capabilities, this role contributes to innovation in emerging AI integration and DevOps patterns, helping incubate new approaches that can be standardized and proliferated across broader DIS teams.
The Product Owner will also flex to augment portfolio initiatives when additional scrum team and product ownership capacity is required, ensuring critical programs maintain momentum, clarity, and execution discipline.
Important Skillsets & Experience
Experience with healthcare operations (e.g., call center, claims, billing, underwriting, provider/customer interactions)
Experience in business process analysis and redesign, especially transitioning from manual or fragmented workflows to automated, scalable solutions
The preferred candidate can engage with complex, legacy, and manually driven processes, extract true business intent beyond workarounds, recommend streamlined and scalable designs, and guide stakeholders through a transition to modern, automated workflows supported by enterprise integration services.
Roles & Responsibilities
Act as a Technical Product Owner within Data Integration Services (DIS), delivering enterprise APIs, event streams, and data pipeline products for internal and external consumers.

Author and maintain product lifecycle artifacts including roadmaps, business requirements, functional specifications, and technical feature documentation.
Write, prioritize, sequence, refine, and accept features, user stories, and defects in collaboration with Engineering and Architecture.
Balance prioritization across new capability delivery, architectural improvements, technical debt reduction, and operational excellence.
Partner with Engineering teams to prototype and operationalize emerging DevOps and integration patterns, with a focus on scalability, resiliency, and repeatability.
Help utilize and foster innovative delivery using Ai tooling that can be standardized and adopted across DIS and broader ICORE teams.
Serve as a customer advocate, ensuring API and data products are usable, discoverable, and aligned with consumer needs.
Augment large portfolio initiatives as needed by stepping in to support complex programs that require additional Product Owner or scrum team capacity.
