Who We're Looking For

We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves cats and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting experience and knowledge of equipment used, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning, experience with proper feline handling and restraint, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $24.00, depending on experience, education, licensure, and certifications.

Requirements:

1+ years of veterinary experience
Obtaining accurate and thorough medical histories
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Blood draws
Placing IV catheters
Sub-Q / IM injections
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint (Not opposed to scruffing)
Works at a fast, efficient pace
Understand the importance of excellent communication and customer service skills
2 openings to be filled; Full-time or part-time veterinary assistant with a minimum of 1 year experience in animal handling and treatments.
Must be available for a 10-hour Monday shift and a 5/6-hour Saturday shift
