Job Description:
The University Relations Coordinator is responsible for serving as the liaison between property management, the University of California – Davis, and its key university officials. This role will develop, manage, evaluate and oversee activities and services associated with strategic university relations. The University Relations Coordinator will participate in frequent check-ins and regular meetings to provide up on day-to-day operations. This role will also increase the property’s brand presence by ensuring we’re maintaining involvement with the university through recruiting efforts and other cross collaborating initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the role’s responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed.
- Serve as a primary point of contact between the university and the community, facilitating communication and addressing concerns as they arise.
- Submit weekly SOPs, conduct monthly walkthroughs, and oversee the work order process for retail vendors.
- Support the Maintenance Supervisor in monitoring and managing work orders related to university-leased spaces, as applicable, and communicate project timelines to retail partners.
- Assist the Community Manager with the completion and submission of all required university reporting.
- Partner with student organizations and clubs to support campus events and initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate student engagement initiatives with surrounding university housing.
- Act as a liaison with university representatives to organize guest lectures, workshops, and other educational initiatives.
- Promote the organization as an employer of choice by effectively communicating opportunities and benefits to prospective candidates.
- Track, analyze, and report key metrics related to campus enrollment and university partnerships, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvements.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in campus recruitment, university relations, or similar partnership‑focused roles strongly preferred.
- Locally mandated licenses/certifications strongly preferred and, in some cases, required.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Effective presentation and public speaking skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms and digital tools for branding, outreach, and engagement.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented, with strong project management capabilities.
- Knowledge of current university recruiting trends and best practices.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour depending on a variety of factors including market factors in the geographical location where the candidate works.
