Job Title

Advisor, Infrastructure Engineering (Cloud Infrastructure Engineer)

Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and manage a secure public cloud foundation that enables application teams to deliver world-class solutions. This role partners across platform engineering, cloud security, infrastructure, and delivery teams to implement scalable cloud capabilities, service controls, and automation that make cloud adoption safe, repeatable, and efficient.

What does a successful Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be an expert on public cloud and help shape a strong, secure cloud foundation. You will work hands-on to engineer core platform capabilities—identity and access, networking, DNS, logging, governance, and guardrails—so delivery teams can move quickly while staying aligned to security and compliance expectations. You will also help teams troubleshoot complex issues and continuously improve how cloud services are consumed through standard patterns and self-service automation.

What you will do:

  • Engineer and build cloud platform capabilities that enable application teams to adopt and use public cloud services safely and efficiently.
  • Partner with Cloud Security Architects and Platform Engineers to implement secure-by-default configurations and required controls.
  • Design and build foundational cloud components including IAM, hybrid DNS, audit logging, network topology, governance, and guardrails.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers to create a cloud foundation that delivery teams can build on and scale reliably.
  • Define secure standard configurations and reference patterns for commonly used cloud services.
  • Implement and manage policies using cloud security posture management (CSPM) and related tools.
  • Build automation and tooling to streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and enable self-service.
  • Support application teams with infrastructure provisioning and adoption of cloud-native services.
  • Remediate identified security findings and strengthen platform controls over time.
  • Provide escalation support to cloud operations teams for troubleshooting and production issues.
  • Collaborate with IT, Security, and business teams to continuously improve platform reliability, usability, and compliance.

What you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical architect/engineer.
  • 2+ years of recent hands-on experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
  • Cloud architecture/engineering certifications or demonstrable equivalent experience.
  • Experience building cloud solutions both via console and through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines.
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Google Deployment Manager, Azure Resource Manager (ARM), and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Solid understanding of core internet and networking concepts including HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, networking, and load balancing.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python and/or PowerShell.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

What would be great to have:

  • Experience with containers and container orchestration (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
  • Experience implementing governance and security guardrails at scale in enterprise cloud environments.
  • Background supporting regulated environments and partnering with security/compliance stakeholders.
  • Experience building reusable modules, golden paths, and self-service templates for application teams.
