About the role
As a POS Installer, you will be responsible for the physical installation, configuration, and validation of iOS-based POS systems in grocery store environments. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on hardware setup, basic network connectivity, system testing, and ensuring stores are fully operational at go-live. You will work closely with our onboarding, support, and project management teams to deliver consistent, high-quality installations.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and configure iOS-based POS hardware in grocery store environments.
Set up and test iOS POS terminals, stands, payment devices, receipt printers, barcode scanners, scales (if applicable), and cash drawers
Mount hardware securely and ensure clean, professional cable management
Verify network connectivity (LAN/WiFi), device communication, and peripheral functionality
Perform end-to-end testing of checkout workflows, including scanning, payments, receipts, and drawer operations
Coordinate with internal onboarding and support teams to confirm readiness for go-live
Train store staff on basic hardware usage and operational best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, connectivity, or configuration issues during installation
Document installation details, issues encountered, and store sign-off upon completion.
Adhere to installation standards, safety guidelines, and customer experience expectations
Travel to customer sites as required, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Required:
2+ years of experience installing POS systems,
IT equipment, or retail technology
Hands-on experience with iOS devices (iPads, iOS settings, device configuration)
Familiarity with grocery store environments and front-end checkout operations
Experience installing peripherals such as receipt printers, barcode scanners, cash drawers, and payment terminals
Basic networking knowledge (Ethernet, WiFi, IP addressing, connectivity testing)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Professional, customer-facing communication skills ○ Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs)
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
Preferred:
Experience installing POS systems specifically for grocery stores
Familiarity with payment devices and EMV requirements
Experience with cable routing, countertop drilling, or light mounting work
Ability to read and follow installation diagrams and runbooks
Prior experience working with installation partners or field services teams
