We are seeking a Director, Workday Programs to oversee Workday operations, governance, and project delivery across the platform. This role will manage the Workday ticket lifecycle, ensure SOX-compliant change management, and lead key initiatives such as Workday releases, module implementations, and system optimizations.

The ideal candidate brings strong Workday functional knowledge, program management experience, and governance discipline to ensure the platform remains stable, compliant, and continuously improving.

Key Responsibilities

Workday Governance & Operations

  • Manage the Workday intake process, including ticket grooming, prioritization, and assignment through Jira and ServiceNow.

  • Oversee the end-to-end ticket lifecycle, from intake and assignment to final validation and approval of system configuration changes.
  • Ensure SOX-compliant approval workflows are followed for all Workday configuration changes and enhancements.
  • Maintain documentation and governance standards to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls.

Program & Project Management

  • Lead Workday-related projects including: Biannual Workday release management, Data conversion initiatives, Workday module implementations and add-ons, System optimization and enhancement initiatives
  • Serve as the principal liaison between cross-functional stakeholders including HR, Finance, IT, and HRIS teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Track timelines, risks, and dependencies to ensure Workday initiatives are delivered on schedule and within scope.

System Oversight & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct and manage a monthly Workday system audit to review system activity, configuration changes, and governance compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and system optimization within Workday.
  • Partner with functional and technical teams to ensure system configurations meet business requirements and best practices.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with Workday systems or Workday program/project management.
  • Broad functional knowledge across multiple Workday modules including FINS, HCM, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Experience managing Workday releases, enhancements, and implementations.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, change management, and governance processes.
  • Experience using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing platforms and Project management tools.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Background in HRIS, Workday Program Management, or Workday Operations leadership.

Compensation

$175,000 - $200,000
