The Senior Implementation & Activation Executive plays a crucial role in delivering client success across all aspects of campaign implementation, platform planning, optimisation, monitoring, and reporting. Working closely with your Manager, you will produce best-in-class activation solutions, bring platform expertise to the table, and deliver consistently against client targets.
Responsibilities
Clients
- Develop a solid understanding of client challenges, objectives, and initiatives.
- Build relationships with clients at the activation level and contribute to a reputation for outstanding service.
- Maintain clear knowledge of in-scope services and the process for managing work beyond scope.
Platform Planning & Activation
- Support the development of integrated media plans including channel strategy, audience targeting, and budget allocation.
- Lead the booking, loading, optimising, and tracking of client campaigns with immaculate attention to detail and in line with best practice.
- Serve as a platform expert across key channels —paid social, paid search, Programmatic and emerging media.
- Engage with media partners and internal product teams (including WPP Media proprietary solutions) to stay current and identify opportunities for clients.
- Bring innovation to planning and activation by leveraging market insights, platform betas, and new formats.
- Contribute to post-campaign analysis reports with meaningful channel-level insights and recommendations.
Finance & Compliance
- Ensure all financial and compliance processes — bookings, loadings, account queries, and monthly proforma checks — are completed with 100% accuracy.
People
- Communicate and collaborate openly with internal & external stakeholders on delivery and reporting.
- Contribute positively to team meetings, leading relevant sections and owning follow-ups.
Skills and Experience
- 2–3 years of media agency experience in implementation, activation, or media planning.
- Hands-on platform knowledge across one or more of: paid social (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn), paid search (Google Ads, SA360), DSPs (DV360, The Trade Desk)
- Up-to-date understanding of the media landscape and audience insights across channels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy — essential for both campaign execution and financial compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, dashboards); comfortable working with data to surface insights.
- Good communicator — clear, confident, and collaborative across client and internal interactions.
- Proactive, organised, and calm under pressure with strong time management skills. Experience in luxury is a big plus
- Genuine passion for media, platforms, and staying ahead of industry developments .
