We are currently recruiting for an Equipment technician in an 12-month contract role to support our engineering department in Cork. The main responsibility of this role is the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing and new automation. A typical day to day, would include:
Provide first response technical support to automated equipment.
Responsible for defining maintenance and troubleshooting procedures of new equipment introduced to site.
Assist Engineering in the installation and implementation of new equipment. Responsible for the provision of equipment training to the wider engineering team.
Daily reporting into Engineering on all activities and highlighting concerns early.
Responsible for investigating and documenting process issues and report to Engineering all findings and solutions.
Support safety risk assessments for any new equipment introduced.
Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon QS requirements.
Assigned work adheres to H&S and environmental requirements.
Order and maintain stocks of spares and components.
Carry out modifications and upgrades.
What you’ll bring to the role:
A minimum Level 7 qualification in an Engineering or Technical discipline
Strong technical ability and automation experience would be preferred.
Ability to trouble-shoot equipment issues.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good problem-solving skills
Knowledge of ISO, FDA, GMP standards.
