Job Description Summary

The Facilities Administrator is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of the College’s physical environment across 15 campus buildings. Reporting to the Dean, this role leads space planning, renovations, and new construction projects, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term growth. Serving as the Dean’s designee on facilities matters, the Administrator collaborates with campus leadership, Facilities Management, Environmental Safety, and external partners to deliver high-quality, sustainable, and innovative facilities solutions.

The Facilities Administrator partners with unit leaders to assess needs, develop proposals, and secure funding for capital and non-capital projects, while also representing the College on campus-wide committees and contributing to strategic planning efforts. The role provides guidance on facilities-related problem solving, procurement, and equipment planning, and oversees compliance and safety initiatives as the College’s Compliance Officer.

Physical Demands: The college is spread out among 15 campus buildings. Must be able to physically navigate to and within those buildings. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends, or different shifts for extended periods.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Five (5) years of professional experience in facilities operations or maintenance. 

Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Knowledge of building systems.

Knowledge of building operations requirements.

Skill in oral and written communication.

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.

Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
