Job Description
GCOI (Grocery Catalog Ops and Intel) is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Engineer with excellent technical and analytical abilities. If you are a self-starter, someone who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, with a passion for building scalable long-term solutions, then you are the right candidate for our team. In this role, the candidate would work closely with operations, product/program, and tech teams across the US Grocery business to build a variety of bespoke data solutions that directly impact the business' top and bottom lines.
The position is based in Hyderabad, but will interact daily with leaders in NA and IN.
We seek a quick-learner who can quickly familiarize themselves with a fast-paced environment, build relationships with cross-functional teams, and assume ownership for a broad array of domains. Flexibility, and an ability to prioritize will be key. Our team culture is goal-oriented, collaborative and driven to achieve results.
Key job responsibilities
• Explore and develop expertise with internal Amazon data services and AWS products.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that will support our analytical and business needs.
• Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions. Analyze and validate data to maintain high data quality bar.
• Own advanced data extraction needs for your customers.
• Own the maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, and other artifacts used to drive key business decisions.
• Create high quality documentation for your customers and team members.
• Work with team members and business customers to gather requirements.
About the team
Grocery Catalog Operations and Intel (GCOI) supports Amazon’s Grocery Catalog through New Item Setup, Audits & Edits, SOP management, Data management, Process Automation, etc.
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis

Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
- Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree- Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
- Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
