Operational Systems Manager

The primary role of the Operational Systems Manager is to provide operational support with the functions listed below. The Operational Systems Manager fundamentally understands the core systems (NetSuite, Salesforce CRM, Jira, UKG, and others as they evolve), company structure, and operating procedures.  They apply that knowledge toward efficiently managing key corporate data, aligning system configuration with evolving business processes, and orchestrating supporting process automation to drive productivity across the organization.   The primary objective of the Operational Systems Manager is to support the Operations Manager in effectively capturing the events of the real world in source systems so that they are communicated at scale through systems and processes. 

The Operational Systems Manager: 

• Manages system and process improvement projects
• Implements system enhancements to support process improvement
• Creates and manages Jira boards, workflow, and automation
• Incorporates AI into working practices for increased productivity
• Troubleshoots issues to minimize disruptions
• Develops documentation, training, and supports end users
• Works in conjunction with the Operations Manager to support Operations holistically 

Successful Profile 

• Process-oriented with a focus on scalability and efficiency
• Able to operate independently while coordinating across global teams
• Comfortable balancing execution, systems enhancement, and internal projects
• Strong systems thinker with attention to detail
• Manages projects with strong fundamentals and discipline
• Understands change management and leverages good communication practices
• Prior experience as a Project Manager, Operations Administrator or similar role with heavy focus on operational systems
• Experience working at a start-up or smaller company, in a role with systems configuration responsibilities
• 3-5 years' experience
