We are continuously accepting applicationsWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to support our operations team. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge, effective communication, and collaborative mindset with a commitment to operational excellence.
What You Need to Know:
Collaborate with the Supervisor and Maintenance team to prioritize tasks, and train operators in safe, efficient procedures.
Complete MHE (Material Handling Equipment) certification and train associates as required.
Perform and train all departmental functions.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to systems and equipment..
Respond promptly to urgent repairs and ensure tasks are completed without delay.
Schedule and manage non-urgent maintenance proactively.
Maintain 5S standards; ensure tools and supplies are organized and accessible..
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance; maintain accurate records.
Coordinate vendor services and communicate scheduling with the Supervisor.
Manage spare parts inventory in alignment with vendor recommendations and equipment needs.
Process purchase orders for departmental and warehouse needs, including order entry and pickup.
Foster a positive team culture through clear communication and collaboration.
Support the Supervisor in delivering shift updates and operational feedback, including end of shift reports / pass downs.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment, conveyors, racking, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, coordinate with Supervisor for scheduling or external support.
Participate in daily pre-shift and end-of-shift meetings.
Enforce compliance with safety policies, including PPE, and forklift operation.
Assist in developing and implementing departmental strategies.
Maintain open communication with the Supervisor, team, and leadership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of high school education/GED, plus at least two years of experience in a in a fast-paced distribution environment is required.
Demonstrated ability to direct the work and train department operators.
100% compliance with Husqvarna’s governing policies and procedures.
Set the example, be a Role Model for others to follow.
Must be able to multi-task, exhibit strong leadership skills and be forklift certified.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal and oral/written communications skills are required - both in group and one-on-one settings.
Acceptable attendance record.
A demonstrated willingness for continual learning and skill development.
Minimal personal computer skills including, but not limited to: MS Office Software applications.
Ability to work overtime, off shifts and weekends as needed.
