Corporate GL Accountant

Job Overview

Harbinger Motors are looking for an experienced Corporate GL Accountant with a strong accounting background in fixed assets and month-end close. This role will be responsible for accounting and reporting for fixed assets, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close of accounting records and cash reconciliations. This role requires advanced analytical skills, extensive experience in accounting practices, a thorough understanding of GAAP, and the ability to influence financial decision-making.

What You’ll Do:

• Record recurring and non-standard journal entries to ensure accurate accounting
• Reconcile certain General Ledger account balances, including cash, other assets and payroll-related accounts.
• Responsible for fixed assets and prepaids.
• Reconcile Fixed Assets accounts.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Operations, Engineering and Logistics departments to ensure accurate recording of data.
• Manage month close-end calendar.
• Prepare and maintain monthly fixed assets roll-forward.
• Analyze and explain monthly variances and fluxes.
• Assist with the financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements to ensure accounting procedures and reporting conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Assist with various special projects as required.

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• CPA/CPA Eligibility preferred, but not required.
• Proven experience in fixed assets, month-end close and account balances reconciliation processes.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
