Summarized Purpose:
We are offering an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Engineer II, Software Quality Assurance. In this role, you will support testing activities by executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring delivery of high-quality software products aligned with defined standards and processes.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 3 years of experience in software testing.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases for functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
- Collaborate with developers and testing team members to resolve issues.
- Maintain test documentation including test cases and execution results.
- Support testing environments and test data preparation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Understanding of software testing lifecycle and methodologies.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
- Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation.
- Exposure to Agile environments.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
Must Have Skills:
- Manual testing fundamentals.
- Defect tracking tools.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have Skills:
- Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium).
- Basic API testing knowledge.
- Domain knowledge (Healthcare/Life Sciences preferred).
Working Hours:
- India: 05:30 PM to 02:30 AM IST
- Philippines: 08:00 PM to 05:00 AM PHT
