Role Overview
Coupang is seeking a highly professional and driven Legal Counsel to join our team and support the rapid growth of our logistics operations in Taiwan, helping us meet evolving customer needs to wow our customers. This role is pivotal to Coupang Logistics Service (CLS), providing expert legal guidance to ensure compliance and manage risk in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to facilitate the seamless integration of logistics assets—including fulfillment centers and transportation networks—and take ownership of the legal work associated with major strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Legal & Regulatory Strategy
Monitor and analyze regulatory developments in Taiwan that impact Coupang Logistics Service (CLS), including transportation, labor and other relevant areas. Assess proposed changes, interpret legal implications, and proactively communicate impacts and recommended implementation steps to business teams, compliance, and other stakeholders. Provide guidance on implementation issues as needed.
2. Business Support & Development
Provide legal support for CLS’s strategic initiatives, including new service models, operational enhancements, and partnerships. Advise on legal risks and ensure alignment with company objectives.
3. Contract Management
Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts related to logistics assets and operations, including services, procurement, insurance, and carrier agreements.&a
