The Speech Language Pathologist will enjoy a consistent caseload. Evaluate and deliver therapy services to adults and school-aged children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, adult day programs and/or outpatient medical facilities.
Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Providing individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Conducting psychosocial assessments
Being part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.)
Minimum Qualification Requirements including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.) Minimum requirements of specific positions may vary by assigned function and/or contract. Please refer to applicable regulations/contracts for all position requirements.
All SLPs must meet the following minimum requirements:
Current licensure by NYS
Current certification by ASHA
Ability to work effectively with limited on-site supervision
Preferred Qualification Requirements (desired requirements beyond MQRs above)
Experience with the I/DD population (2+ years is preferable)
Dysphagia experience, a big plus
AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
- Compensation is 68000 - 100000 USD; including bonuses
