The role is accountable for shaping and embedding the Value Creation Centre (VCC) identity and narrative both internally (across Group and BU stakeholders and customers), regulators, and external communities across all VCC locations (KL and Bangalore) to build engagement, credibility and confidence in VCC as a strategic capability hub for Prudential.This role leads the end‑to‑end communications strategy for VCC, spanning internal communications, leadership messaging, employer branding, external thought leadership, and social media presence, ensuring a compelling and consistent messaging aligned with the VCC strategy.
Responsibilities
1. Communications Strategy & Governance
· Define and execute the VCC internal and external communications strategy, aligned to Group and VCC brand, values, and regulatory expectations.
· Establish clear governance, approval processes, and content standards for all VCC communications.
· Act as the single point of accountability for VCC messaging consistency
2. Internal Communications & Employee Engagement
· Develop and deliver a compelling internal communications and engagement roadmap for VCC employees.
· Shape leadership communications, including townhalls, leadership updates, key announcements, and change communications.
· Strengthen employee connection, pride, and belonging across VCC locations through storytelling, campaigns, and cultural initiatives.
· Partner with HR on engagement initiatives, change programs, onboarding narratives, and employer branding.
3. External Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
· Lead VCC external communications, including positioning with Group stakeholders, customers, and key partners.
· Support leadership visibility through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and curated content.
· Partner with Group Corporate Communications on media strategy, reputation management, and issues/crisis communications as required.
· Support regulatory and external community engagement narratives where relevant.
4. Social Media & Digital Communications
· Own the VCC social media strategy (e.g. LinkedIn and other approved platforms) to build brand awareness, credibility, and engagement.
· Oversee content planning, creation, publishing cadence, and performance tracking across social and digital channels.
· Ensure social media activities are compliant with Group policies, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
· Leverage analytics and insights to continuously optimise reach, engagement, and impact.
5. Brand, Identity & Storytelling
· Build and evolve a clear VCC brand identity that supports talent attraction, stakeholder confidence, and long-term positioning.
· Translate VCC strategy, capabilities, and milestones into compelling narratives and visual assets.
· Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines across all materials, presentations, and platforms.
6. Measurement & Continuous Improvement
· Define KPIs to measure communications effectiveness (reach, engagement, sentiment, adoption).
· Provide regular insights and reporting to VCC leadership and Group stakeholders.
· Continuously refine strategy based on feedback, analytics, and organisational priorities.
Requirements
· Experience in corporate communications, internal communications, or corporate affairs, with experience at senior leadership level.
· Proven track record in both internal and external communications within a complex, matrixed organisation.
· Strong social media and digital communications expertise, including strategy, content, and analytics.
· Excellent writing, storytelling, and executive-level communication skills.
· Familiarity with local statutory (e.g. Malaysia, India) regulations regarding global capability centres advantageous
· Exposure to change communications, transformation, or large-scale organisational initiatives.
· Familiarity with employer branding and talent-related communications.
· Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline
· High judgement and attention to risk, reputation, and compliance
· Comfortable operating in ambiguity and fast-moving environments
· Collaborative, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused
· Strong sense of ownership and accountability
