Why this role matters?

As a Environmental Data Manager, you will support ERM's global consulting delivery by managing, validating, analyzing, and reporting environmental data to ensure high quality, reliable, and decision-ready datasets for environmental and sustainability projects. You will work within the Data Analytics & Visualization (DAV) service line, partnering with project managers, environmental scientists, laboratories, environmental chemists, and regional consulting teams to deliver efficient data management, reporting, and analytics solutions across global projects. This role is critical to maintaining data quality and regulatory

compliance, improving project delivery efficiency, enabling scalable data management processes, and supporting informed environmental decision-making for ERM's clients.

What your impact is?

  • Manage and maintain environmental data within EarthSoft EQuIS and related systems.

  • Import, validate, QA/QC, and manage laboratory, field, historical, and monitoring data.

  • Configure EQuIS workflows, formats, reports, and standard data management processes.

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI, EQuIS Enterprise, and related tools.

  • Support project teams with data queries, reporting requests, and data deliverable preparation.

  • Support data migration of historical data into enterprise systems, ensuring compatibility and formatting standards.

  • Coordinate with laboratories and field teams to ensure timely receipt and processing of environmental data.

  • Perform data quality reviews and identify inconsistencies, anomalies, and compliance issues.

  • Support implementation of EQuIS modules such as Collect, SPM, Enterprise, and Professional.

  • Contribute to workflow automation, process improvements, and standardization initiatives.

  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting schedule, quality, and budget expectations.

What will you bring?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Data Management, Analytics, or related discipline.

  • 4–6 years of experience in environmental data management or consulting.

  • Hands-on experience with EQuIS and environmental laboratory data workflows.

  • Working knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Excel, and database concepts.

  • Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization platforms.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in global project teams.

Preferred skills & competencies

  • Experience with EQuIS Collect, SPM, Enterprise, Edge, EnviroInsite, ArcEQuIS or related modules.

  • Experience with geological visualization tools and GIS platforms (EVS, RockWorks, Leapfrog, EnviroInsite, AutoCAD, ArcGIS).

  • Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).

  • Experience with Python, R, or automation tools.

  • Exposure to GIS platforms such as ArcGIS.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop standardized data management workflows, reporting templates, and QA/QC processes.

  • Collaborate with project teams, laboratories, and stakeholders to support environmental data management requirements.

  • Support data loading, validation, reporting, dashboard development, and data quality activities.

  • Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, and training materials to support knowledge sharing and data governance.
