Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Training Systems and Solutions Manager, you will lead a highly engaged team that drives Caterpillar Dealer Technician Capability visibility and insights, to enable Caterpillar dealers to achieve their Services Growth goals, and provide world class customer service through their Technicians. This role manages a global budget, 7 system platforms, system access, cyber security, data privacy regarding training, and strategy development & execution with a team of 8 SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).

What You Will Do:
This position leads a team of 8 Global SMEs who support Caterpillar dealers in achieving their Services Growth goals through Dealer Technician Capability and Capacity. While dealers are responsible for hiring, training and retaining their people, Caterpillar plays a role in supporting Talent Acquisition, Technician Development and Technician Retention leveraging our global scale.
Priority Areas of Responsibility:
Execute Tech Cap & Cap System Strategy:
- Working across Global Service and Enterprise ecosystems to create the ability to generate technician capability insights and actionable recommendations to support Services Growth Initiatives of +5000 technicians by YE.
- Provide business critical insights from system functionality and data for course demand planning including available courses, instructors needed, reaccreditation / certification needs, and current enrollment / waitlist.
Dealer Technician development system support including:
- Provide business critical insights from system functionality and data for technician skill levels including pipeline
- Oversee management of thousands of digital training assets and programs enabling dealer technician development through publishing, review, and retention governance processes
Training System Management:
- Lead governance, administration, availability / uptime, and continuous improvement of multiple global training systems and network.
- Partner across dealers, customers, IT, compliance, vendors, and business teams to improve user experience, data accuracy, reporting, and user support.
- Deliver on strategic projects, platform enhancements, and process improvements that increase scalability, manage risk, and create business value.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
• Education Requirement: Degree or equivalent work experience (10+ years) in the areas of project management, marketing, and / or product support roles
• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
• Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

- Strategic project and transformation execution: Ability to lead high-impact strategic initiatives from concept through implementation, translate business priorities into actionable plans, manage change across stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes that improve enterprise learning operations
- Learning systems strategy and operational excellence: Proven ability to manage multiple global software platforms, maintain high system availability, resolve production issues quickly, and ensure reliable support for dealers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Risk management and cross-functional collaboration: Ability to partner across cybersecurity, export compliance, IT, program teams, and process owners to protect data, meet enterprise obligations, and solve complex operational challenges.
- People leadership and talent development: Demonstrated capability to build a high-performing, engaged global team through safety focus, inclusion, employee experience, coaching, and demonstrating Caterpillar’s Leadership Attributes.
- Project, budget, and vendor management: Experience leading technology projects on time and within budget, managing labor and expense plans, negotiating vendor contracts, and delivering measurable cost savings and enterprise value.
- Dealer enablement: Strong knowledge of the Caterpillar dealer organization, experience influencing dealer networks globally understanding of dealer and customer training needs, with the ability to improve training products to impact global enterprise initiatives.

Summary Pay Range:
$147,760.00 - $221,640.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
