SUPERINTENDENT EQUIPMENT ACQUISITION – FLEET SERVICES

About The Position

The Superintendent Equipment Acquisition – Fleet Services role facilitates the design and purchase or Ameren Illinois equipment. This position includes drive for results with respect to oversight of safety programs, regulatory compliance and fleet services capital budget responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervise, train, develop and appraise coworkers performing work related to the design, specification development, life cycle development, up-fitting and disposal of Ameren Illinois equipment 
  • Foster a culture of safety and zero unsafe acts by championing safety efforts, achieving safety objectives and ensuring that safety is the top value of every co-worker. Facilitate equipment team meetings to address vehicle safety as well as discuss future specifications
  • Ensure all Fleet Maintenance records and information required for external regulatory purposes and internal needs are procured and accurately maintained
  • Manage fleet budget and production timeline, ensuring quarterly and annual spend targets are achieved
  • Develop, maintain and administer the requirements of the Ameren Illinois equipment life cycle replacement model 
  • Provide oversite for the design and specification development required for the sourcing and purchase of the Ameren Illinois fleet 
  • Foster and maintain a proactive and professional relationship with the vendors within the Fleet Services network ensuring that they understand and adhere to Ameren's policies and procedures related to values and compliance to safety related rules and regulations   
  • Provide direction on regulatory compliance and permitting including DOT requirements (IFTA, IRP).
  • Provide expertise and service to other work groups with regard to Fleet Services acquisition activities.
  • Support Fleet Maintenance Superintendent as needed
  • Manage fleet budget and production timeline, ensuring quarterly and annual spend targets are achieved

Qualifications

High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Ten or more years of relevant (e.g., Fleet Maintenance) experience required. Four or more years of supervisory experience, in a related Fleet Maintenance field.

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, communications, and human relations’ skills required. As a condition of acceptance on this job, this position works a standard day shift in an office, as well as, field environment. Extended works hours are required, especially with assisting with storm restoration efforts. Travel throughout the Ameren Illinois service territories is required.

Compensation Range:

$111,100.00 - $172,200.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
