Quality Technician - Weekend Shift

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Technician who provides Quality engineering support to the assigned Manufacturing area or Project. The Quality Technician will identify and execute on continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.
*This role is initially a 7 month contract*
In this role, a typical day will include:
Provide quality oversight/input to the manufacturing area to ensure process and product quality requirements such as data integrity, product segregation, etc. are adhered to.
Identify and execute initiatives which improve process controls and overall effectiveness of the Quality System.
Lead and/or support process and/or product investigations providing formal structured approach to identify root causes, establish corrective actions and execute prevention plans.
Support the execution of validations within assigned area.
Ensure continual Quality System compliance by adherence to established and evolving Alcon quality system and regulatory requirements.
Support preparation and participate in external audits by Notified Bodies and Health Authorities, where necessary.
What you’ll bring to Alcon:
Certificate or Diploma in related discipline Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline.
Two years technical/manufacturing experience in a medical device/pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of FDA, medical device, GMP and validation requirements
Knowledge of Statistics Skills: Problem solving, statistical analysis and word processing.
Technical writing and people skills.
