Position Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to work closely with the Manager Compliance & Awarding to support direct daily management and oversight of compliance and awarding activities within Student Financial Services. This position serves as one of the primary federal and state financial aid regulatory resources and provides guidance and support to the office in the areas of regulatory compliance.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  •  Acts as a resource for compliance-related questions and student awarding inquiries.
  • Oversees federal grant program disbursements to ensure compliance with Department of Education guidelines.
  • Tracks and monitors federal disbursements to ensure accuracy and  timely submission to the Department of Education’s COD system.
  • Provides training and support in compliance-related activities to Student Financial Services staff and external campus partners.
  • Provides additional support to the Manager of Compliance and Awarding to ensure proper controls are in place for managing compliance activities.
  • Engages in consistent and ongoing interactions with students regarding awards and applications, and with governmental agencies regarding compliance issues.
  • Maintains and updates documentation on compliance policies and procedures as necessary.

  • Work conducted in an open-office environment, including computer work, answering telephone calls, and responding to emails.

Physical Effort

  • Limited travel anticipated for off-campus/out-of-town training and conferences.

  • Experience in leading process improvements through continuous review and auditing of processes.

Salary Range

$49,700.00 - $82,100.00 / Annually
