We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Back Office team within HIMCO IT. This role is critical in partnering with technology and investment professionals to deliver innovative solutions that meet dynamic information and automation needs. You will build systems that empower Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Analysts to make informed investment and financial decisions.

Developing interactive web applications and batch processing systems
Integrating and enhancing vendor platforms
Applying object-oriented design principles and leveraging AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency

Key Responsibilities
Develop a strong understanding of the investment industry and related business processes
Participate in project planning, clarify requirements, and engage with clients and analysts
Design, develop, and maintain applications following disciplined software development practices
Implement quality assurance principles and ensure solutions meet business needs
Provide ongoing maintenance and support for applications
Handle support issues within your area of expertise
Requirements
Experience developing systems in cloud with .NET C#, and solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases using cloud native services.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating and supporting vendor systems
Exposure to investment domain
Familiarity with ETL tools
AWS cloud implementation experience
Python development experience
This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
