Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour

About the Role
The Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, cookware, and food service areas within a Dining Facility (DFAC). This role supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring a continuous supply of clean and sanitized items in accordance with DFAC procedures, food safety standards, and contractual requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Wash, rinse, sanitize, andproperly storedishes, utensils, glassware, pots, and pans using manual or mechanical methods.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized dishwashing and kitchen work area.
- Ensure proper water temperatures and chemical use for sanitation standards.
- Clean kitchen equipment, floors, and surrounding work areas throughout the shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety procedures.
- Support DFAC operations during exercises or mission-critical events, which may require remainingon-site.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working in a military dining facility (DFAC) or comparable institutional food service environment is preferred.
- Must satisfactorily complete Food Service Medical Clearance (Tri Service Food Code – TB Med 530).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a fully adjudicated Secret Clearance.
- Must be able to obtain an interim Secret Clearance prior to start.
- Ability to obtain andmaintaineligibility to access a U.S. Government worksite.
- Must be able to work around food products, including common allergens; exposure to food allergens (e.g., nuts, dairy, strawberries) may occur during storage, handling, or transport.
- Mustpossessand maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record,in accordance withcompany policy, tooperatevehicles or equipment asrequiredfor theposition.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Fast-paced commercial kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, sharp tools, and cleaningchemicals;requires adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Regular exposure to detergents, degreasers, and sanitizing agents used in commercial dishwashing and sanitation operations;appropriate PPEis provided andrequired.
- Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to liftup to50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, standing, and reaching for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shifts as needed to support mission requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- To meet contractual obligations, employees may alsobe requiredto remain on-site for extended periods during scheduled exercises or real-world events (e.g., 24-hour lockdowns).
- Work is primarily performed indoors within a commercial kitchen environment and may include exposure to varying temperatures and other operational hazards, withappropriate personalprotective equipment (PPE) provided.
