Job Summary
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. The position will be required to perform preventative maintenance as well as corrective maintenance to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good working order.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment.
The ability to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals and wiring diagrams to aid in troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery.
Perform regular and preventive maintenance on equipment to eliminate unscheduled downtime.
The ability to maintain a variety of machines in the factory such as plasma cutting, brake press, laser, paint line, and welding machines.
The ability to interface with other departments to accomplish tasks
Maintain a clean work area as required
Working ability to follow and apply all applicable safety requirement to comply with regulatory agencies
Report workplace hazards associated with equipment being used, workplace injuries and/or illness and workplace near miss incidents immediately to direct supervisor
The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
The ability to stand for up to 10 hours per day
The ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane
Other tasks as assigned
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
Must have two years of maintenance experience in a production environment
Must know and follow standard safety practices
Basic blueprint reading skills
Basic math skills
Must possess own tools appropriate to the job being performed
Knowledge and ability to use appropriate tools related to the task.
The base hourly rate for this role is $27.00.
