Job Description

Why Join Giga

  • The Pace: We're building at a speed most companies talk about but never actually operate at. If you've been bored somewhere else, you won't be here.
  • The Impact: Every person at Giga touches the work that matters. No layers, no waiting for approval chains. You'll see your fingerprints on what we ship.
  • The Team: A team of operators defining the future of AI infrastructure. We recruit A-players from the most innovative companies in the world, and they choose Giga because the work here means more.
  • The Moment: AI doesn't run without power, and that's us. Giga is the picks and shovels behind the AI revolution. This industry is about to explode, and you'll be in the room where it's already happening.

What You'll Do

As Procurement Manager, you own the full procurement lifecycle across Giga's Project portfolio. You'll work directly with project owners to understand what needs to be sourced at every stage, identify and qualify vendors, negotiate competitive terms, and ensure materials and equipment arrive on time. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of operations, finance, and project execution — and the person in it will have a direct impact on whether our projects hit their timelines and budgets.

**This is an IC Role

Where You'll Work

We are an in-office culture — velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure, and the best decisions happen in the room. This role is ideally based in our San Francisco, Long Beach, or Houston offices, with full-time onsite expectations outside of bi-weekly WFH Fridays.

That said, we will make exceptions for truly exceptional talent if you live outside one of our hubs. If you're the right person for this role, we'll have a conversation about what works.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with project owners and engineers to identify procurement needs at each stage of a project
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications to accurately scope and source materials and equipment
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers across relevant categories
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable delivery commitments
  • Own purchase order management from issuance through delivery and closeout
  • Track procurement timelines and proactively flag risks that could impact project schedules
  • Build and maintain a reliable vendor network that scales with our project pipeline
  • Collaborate with finance on budget tracking, cost reporting, and forecasting

Requirements

  • 4+ years of procurement or supply chain experience in construction, energy, or infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Proven track record negotiating with vendors and driving cost efficiency without sacrificing quality or timeline
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and vendor relationships simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with experience interfacing across engineering, operations and finance teams

Bonus Points

  • Experience in data center, power, or mission-critical infrastructure procurement
  • Familiarity with procurement or project management software (e.g., Procore, SAP, Coupa)
  • Experience building a vendor network from the ground up

Benefits

  • Subsidized health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Equity in a profitable, IPO-bound company
  • 401(k) with 4% employer match
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Parental leave
  • FSA/HSA options
  • Commuter benefits
  • Team on-sites across all offices
