This long-term contractor position as an HR Recruiter at PJM Interconnection involves managing the full recruitment cycle to support the Human Resources department in acquiring top talent for the energy industry. The role focuses on identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified professionals to ensure the reliability of the regional electric grid. 

Essential Functions:

  • Managing the full-life cycle recruitment for the whole organization for openings at company.

  • Updating Workday with new job requisitions

  • Thoroughly reviewing applicant resumes and cover letters for desired experience and skills for company’s open positions

  • Conducting initial phone interviews to assess motivations, availability, and communication skills

  • Documenting interview feedback in Workday

  • Managing a high volume of applicants

  • Scheduling candidate meetings and interviews and coordinating travel arrangements

  • Filing interview guides & documents – must go to the PJM campus (Audubon, PA area) periodically to file

  • Marketing PJM’s open positions on social media using LinkedIn, Facebook, Handshake, Indeed & other industry related job boards

  • Maintaining the position description database by creating job codes & synching up Workday with JDXpert

  • Creating interview guides

  • Responding to general staffing telephone inquiries from prospective and current employees 

  • Creating postings, ensuring that all positions are posted and removed from the internal and external websites; notifying employees of internal postings

  • Tracking correspondence, schedules, and other crucial data on candidates

  • Ensuring Workday is maintained with accurate information

  • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of potential candidates

  • Working closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and candidate profiles

  • Work as a team to support HR Business Partners, Executive Director HR, Compensation and HRIS employees

  • Update the staffing report on a weekly basis

  • From time to time get involved in creating position descriptions for job postings or promotion cycle's

  • Support immigration processing – work with outside Counsel to ensure all new employees and existing employees have updated immigration paper

New employees working on transferring Visas

Existing employees working on Perm cases and any change to their immigration status

A strong knowledge of the USCIS I-9 Handbook

Required:

  • Associates Degree in HR or equivalent work experience

  • At least 10 years of experience with HR Corporate Recruitment

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking system preferably Workday

  • Must be able to travel to PJM's location in Audubon, PA location

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
