The Associate Planner is responsible for providing space planning services to optimize space utilization across Jefferson’s academic, research, and healthcare facilities. This role involves coordination with PDC directors, project managers, and real estate space management.Job Description
• Develop space planning scenarios for relocations, expansions, and renovations, including work sequencing, budgeting, scheduling, and graphical representation.
• Create program requirements, space plans, and furniture/equipment plans for assigned projects.
• Develop tailored space plans based on user needs.
• Engage and direct external consultants for complex projects.
• Develop programming and test fits for project initiation.
• Align space planning with overall network strategies and functions.
• Apply knowledge of Building Codes, FGI Guidelines, and healthcare space planning standards.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare network partners.
• Utilize CAD, Revit, and other design software for representation of ideas.
• Prepare conceptual budgets and cost estimates.
• Maintain clear communication with leaders and colleagues within PDC.
• Collaborate with space management, Real Estate, Program Management Office,and Facilities teams.
• Travel to various campuses for project evaluations and meetings.
