Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Data Engineer (#002306 Multiple Positions Available) in Charlotte, NC.
Job Role and Responsibility:
Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area. Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership. Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change. Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges. Telecommuting is permitted. Must report in person to the location listed as the work location weekly. Multiple positions available.

Required Qualifications:
Degree required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related technical field.
Amount and type of experience required: 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related position involving database engineering experience.
Specific skills required:
Must possess 5 years of experience with at least 7 of the skills below: · SDLC; . Experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, Mongo DB, or DB2; · Experience with Agile methodologies; · Application Programming Interface (API) or User Interface (UI) design and development; · Experience in application or software security including web application penetration testing, secure code review, or secure static code analysis; · Data modeling, database design, and data lake architecture including T-SQL queries; · Experience in executing IT projects; · Experience in JIRA; · Splunk; · Experience with Application Control Logging tools; · Experience with Maven, Oracle, or SVN; · Experience in application performance, monitoring and optimization tools Jmeter or Splunk; · Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools; · Experience with Microservices; · Experience with Apache Tomcat; · Experience in data analysis, data extraction/manipulation and loading routines using SQL, Teradata, database structures or data warehouses; · Experience with Tableau; · Experience with OBIEE; · Experience with MicroStrategy Desktop, MicroStrategy Intelligence Server, or MicroStrategy Web Server; · Experience with Ab Initio; · Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience; · Data warehouse experience; · Experience with Unix; · Retail banking application development experience.
