Specific tasks and responsibilities
• Driving the development of intelligent joining and fastening processes tailored to automotive and industrial technology applications
• Conceiving cutting-edge concepts and spearheading fundamental research on new joining- and fastening elements or auxiliary components.
• Maintaining an acute awareness of current trends in joining and welding technologies, ensuring relevance within the mechanical engineering sector.
• Collaborating closely with internal and global partners to guide the progression of new developments, optimization measures, and feasibility analyses
• Ensuring high standards in documentation for testing and evaluation processes, while also establishing and updating guidelines for related business sectors
• Effectively managing the technical and professional development of assigned engineering team
• Serving as the key contact for technical queries related to process development also supporting global locations
Education / Experience Required
• Possession of a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or comparable field) with a focus on joining technology, manufacturing technology, or materials engineering
• Considerable breadth of professional experience in mechanical/hybrid joining and welding techniques, along with system technology and adhesive application expertise
• Leadership experience alongside a proven track record within the mechanical/hybrid joining and welding technologies engineering domain
• Proficiency in cross-functional collaboration, coupled with analytical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Exceptional communication abilities and fluency in both written and spoken English and German
