About the role
This is a mid-senior level position for Oracle Ledger Data Engineer Team with hands on experience in Ab Initio ETL tool. Other major responsibilities would be to create different automated utilities using Ab Initio and best possible solution on user’s requirement. This will involve working closely with the users and business on the process development work slate, provide estimate efforts, ensure timely delivery on committed items and to provide solutions and deliverables as part of software development as according to the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Responsibilities:
Understanding Business Requirements and Functional Requirements provided by users and working as part of the Oracle Ledger Data Engineering team to deliver solutions on those requirements.
Work closely with Cross Functional Teams and business users. Prepare handover documents, perform unit testing, SIT and assist with UAT and Production Implementation as required.
Identify and proactively resolve issues that could impact system performance, reliability, and usability
Strong Financials business processes knowledge and concepts
Must have sound knowledge in Ab Initio tool.
Excellent at Software development life cycle (SDLC).
Responsible for Monitoring and resolving testing issues and logs the defects in Jira
Strong problem solving and analytical skills with immense ability to grasp new concepts and apply them.
Technical skills required with SQL.
Excellent communication and internal customer management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent facilitation skills.
Qualifications:
10+ Years of experience in software or IT covering Finance Technology in Banking or Financial Industry.
Strong knowledge of ETL methodology with 8+ years of experience in Ab Initio tool kit (GDE, Control Centre, Metadata Hub, Meta Programming, Graphs, Plans, Real Time Component like Call Web Service, etc..), Strong hands on Multifile system level programming, debugging and optimization skill.
Hands on experience in developing complex ETL applications.
Good knowledge of RDBMS – Oracle, with ability to write complex SQL needed to investigate and analyze data issues.
Strong in UNIX Shell.
Strong experience in Jira and experience on agile methodology is must.
