ADI's Quality Organization is seeking an experienced Failure Analysis Technician to help us understand and solve the root causes of customer returns as well as support qualification and new product introduction activities at our location in San Jose, CA.
Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:
Support and respond to internal and external customer requests for analyses of ADI products. Especially:
Sample Preparation
FA engineering support (optical inspections, x-ray)
- Clear, concise, and professional documentation of results
Meet ADI’s failure analysis cycle time and quality commitments
Provide periodic updates on your analyses
Preferred experience performing the following:
IC mechanical cross sections
Parallel lapping to expose inner layers
Device wet and dry chemical strip backs
Optical, IR, and UV inspections
Device decapsulation
Reballing WLP/BGA packages
Preferred but not required experience with the following:
FIB cross sectioning
FIB STEM sample creation
FIB circuit editing
SEM inspections
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate required; AA or college training in EE, Mat. Sci, or related field preferred.
For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Shift Type: 1st Shift/DaysThe expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $40 to $55.
Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
