The Role and Impact
As a Sr. Commodity Manager within the GMO Advanced Packaging Materials Organization, you will drive Intel's supply chain excellence for advanced packaging materials by optimizing cost, ensuring supply continuity, and enabling technology roadmap execution. You will shape sourcing strategies, build strategic supplier partnerships, and influence both commercial and technical decisions to strengthen Intel's competitive position.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute commodity strategies aligned with business objectives and advanced packaging roadmap
Drive CQAT (Cost, Quality, Availability, Technology) optimization across Intel's Advanced Packaging supply chain
Own strategic supplier relationships including sourcing, selection, performance management, and executive alignment
Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and cost reduction roadmaps
Translate product and technology requirements into supply chain and sourcing strategies
Assess supplier capabilities, financial health, and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities
Implement supply chain and sub-tier risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity
Influence material specifications and design decisions in partnership with engineering and suppliers
Shape Intel-supplier business models to deliver mutual long-term value
Drive cross-functional alignment with Ops, TD, Finance, Planning, and Legal
Behavioral Traits
Strong communication and stakeholder management across global, cross-functional teams
Business acumen in negotiation, supplier strategy, and executive engagement
Ability to connect technical requirements with cost, supply, and supplier capabilities
Leadership in driving alignment, decision-making, and team development
Qualifications:
Qualifications
Minimum
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field
6+ years of professional experience in supply chain / commodity management, including at least one of the following:
Contracting, supplier management, or sourcing
Cost, supply, and risk management
Alternatively, experience as a supplier-side representative, including customer engagement, price negotiation, and contracting
Preferred
MBA or other advanced degree
Experience influencing technical or product decisions through supply chain strategy
Semiconductor / advanced packaging industry knowledge
Strong cross-functional leadership and negotiation skills
