About the role
This position is accountable for leading the development of internal applications, systems integrations, and process automation solutions, as well as the design, support, integration, maintenance, and enhancement of these systems.
What you’ll do
Design, Implement, and Support
Provide specialised technical application support for business functions and stakeholders.
Support and maintain internally developed applications and scripts in alignment with IT development, security, and environment standards.
Provide application administration and support for COTS systems and tools.
Support integrated application ecosystems.
Design, test, and implement technical solutions to address business challenges.
Design, update, and maintain SharePoint-based websites and portals supporting business processes and workflows.
Maintain standards for visual design, content retention, permissions, and issue resolution in SharePoint.
Translate business and functional requirements into technical requirements.
Assist with integrations across systems.
Team Collaboration
Assist staff in the design and development of applications and reports.
Participate as a technical lead representing IT and working with other OPTrust resources.
Participate in solution design and peer code reviews.
Process Improvement
Ensure adherence to the OPTrust IT development lifecycle and IT standards.
Provide gap and impact analysis for new initiatives, with a focus on system interdependencies and integration.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and guidelines for implemented solutions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What you bring
3-5 years of related work experience.
Experience in software integration and software development principles: building, designing, and testing interfaces (outbound and inbound).
Experience supporting SharePoint, JAMS, Workday integrations and file delivery automations.
Working knowledge of Power Automate and Copilot Studio is an asset. Strong experience applying AI models is an asset (Microsoft Copilot 365).
Knowledge of pension, finance, and investment processes would be an asset.
Strong change management orientation includes experience with promotion procedures.
Post-secondary degree in computer science or a related technical field.
ITIL certification is preferred.
Expert-level scripting and programming background including PowerShell, SSIS, C#, Python, Java, T-SQL and other .NET technologies.
Ability to program code interfaces with APIs with a strong understanding of web services: SOAP, REST, XML, JSON.
Expert-level knowledge in areas of data, security, infrastructure, and application architecture.
Knowledge of Linux, Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Git would be an asset.

The range of expected compensation for this position is $98,408.00 to $120,859.00 per year.
