About the Role

We are looking for a Production Planning Team Leader to join our Planning & Logistics HUB in Barcelona. In this role you will lead a team of Production Planners to ensure excellence in execution of related Production Planning activities, and being responsible for the team operational activities, performance and team members development management.

What You Will Do

Apply Production Planning standard best practices defined by PLEx team.
Lead and develop the team of Production Planners to safeguard products availability in the right location, on-time and quantity to optimize Essity Service to Customers, Working Capital and Cost.
Facilitate connection between the Hub SP teams and the internal and external stakeholders.
Hold regular team and individual review meetings.
Proactively identify main gaps and potential barriers, recommend solutions based on data and assist resolution and escalation.
Define, implement and monitor relevant KPIs and RCA processes.
Update relevant stakeholders on the planning activities as needed.
Key contributor for the SP Transformation roadmap and for embracing new Digital systems solutions of Supply Planning.
Contribute with the Team Leaders network and PLEx to look for continuous improvement activities and implement them in the team.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or in a related technical field.
4+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, forecasting and inventory management.
Experience in people mgmt. and/or proven capability to manage others.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
Expert in MS office tools. Knowledge of software such as SAP or other ERP / planning tools would be valuable.
Proficient in English, other languages valuable.
