About the role
Job Description:
The Company
BuildZoom Data, a CORA company, is a construction intelligence company that transforms complex permitting, licensing, and construction activity data into actionable insights. We power builders, manufacturers, insurers, and financial institutions with the most comprehensive and accurate view of the construction market by helping them identify opportunities, manage risk, and make smarter decisions. By combining deep industry expertise with advanced data engineering and analytics, BuildZoom Data brings transparency and clarity to one of the world’s largest and most fragmented industries.
The Role
As Sr. Manager of Sales and Partnerships at BuildZoom Data, you will own the new business revenue engine and lead a small, high-performing sales team in a true player-coach capacity. This means you are equally responsible for closing enterprise deals yourself and for developing the talent, process, and culture that allows your team to do the same.
You will build and manage a portfolio of strategic partnerships alongside a direct sales motion, targeting enterprise accounts across insurance, financial services, construction, and real estate. This role demands someone who leads from the front, thrives in a consultative sale, and brings the credibility and discipline to win complex, multi-stakeholder deals while coaching others to do the same.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive base salary with uncapped commission and team performance bonus.
- Generous benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage.
Responsibilities
- Carry and close a personal enterprise quota, leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first contact through contract execution across BZD’s core verticals.
- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of Account Executives, providing hands-on deal support, pipeline review, skills development, and performance management to drive team-wide quota attainment.
- Build and scale a strategic partnerships program, identifying, structuring, and activating data reseller, referral, and co-sell agreements with technology and data providers.
- Own the full sales process from outbound strategy and pipeline generation through negotiation and close, setting the standard for rigor, velocity, and customer experience across the team.
- Develop and refine sales playbooks, messaging frameworks, and objection-handling guides that elevate team performance and ensure consistent, compelling positioning of BZD’s data products.
- Partner closely with Marketing on ABM campaigns, lead quality, and pipeline coverage, and with product on customer feedback loops that inform roadmap priorities.
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM hygiene, providing weekly visibility to leadership on team performance, deal status, and revenue risk.
- Represent BuildZoom Data at industry events, conferences, and partner forums to build brand presence and drive top-of-funnel opportunity generation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a demonstrated track record of exceeding enterprise revenue targets as both an individual contributor and a people leader.
- 7+ years of B2B sales experience with at least 2–3 years managing or mentoring a sales team; experience in a player-coach model strongly preferred.
- Proven success selling data, SaaS, or analytics solutions to enterprise buyers in insurance, financial services, real estate, proptech, or construction industries.
- Experience building or managing a strategic partnerships or channel program, including structuring and negotiating reseller or co-sell agreements.
- Consultative seller with strong discovery skills, executive presence, and the ability to navigate complex procurement and legal processes.
- Highly process-oriented with strong pipeline management discipline and CRM proficiency (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent).
- Data-driven and analytical; uses performance metrics to coach the team, prioritize accounts, and improve conversion at every stage of the funnel.
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder with the credibility to engage VP and C-level stakeholders across enterprise accounts and partner organizations
