Department of Radiology - Interventional Radiologist
The University of Louisville, Department of Radiology, Vascular Interventional Section, is seeking a full-time academic Interventional radiologist. The position is for an ABR certified/eligible Interventional Radiologist (Open Rank).
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clinical Duties and Training of Diagnostic Radiology Residents: We are a growing and busy practice. Our division performs the entire spectrum of IR procedures with a strong emphasis on oncologic, transplant, and trauma interventions. We cover three hospitals, including a Level One Trauma Center and a hospital that performs solid organ transplants. We are also affiliated with the Brown Cancer Center. Call cases are limited to emergent cases overnight (e.g. traumatic pelvic bleeds) and urgent/emergent interventions over the weekend. We have 23 residents with at least 2 residents rotating in IR each month, as well as an IR Fellow. We also have two PAs to assist with daily responsibilities.
Procedural Expertise: Vascular and interventional procedures include but are not limited to angiography, angioplasty and stent placements, oncologic interventions, GI/GU interventions, kyphoplasties, TIPS, CT-guided and US-guided biopsies and drainages, lumbar punctures, pain interventions and central venous access.
Conference Participation: Multidisciplinary tumor boards and trauma conferences, resident case and core didactic lecture conferences; medical school lectures.
Required Qualifications: Medical Degree or equivalent, eligibility for Kentucky Medical License, and ABR certified or eligible.
