Schedule Commitment 

Schedules are available 6 weeks in advance. The work schedule commitment for this position requires the following: 

  • Must be able to work Day shift 
  • Must be able to work 40 hours on a weekly basis 
  • Holiday commitment consists of 1 holiday per season 

Responsibilities 

As a Nurse Program Coord, responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Partners with patients, their family/designated care partner(s) in identifying learning needs and priorities and provides education in ways that is useful, understandable and affirming.
  • In this role, teaching and support is given to the patient and/or caregiver. She/He provides care for stomas, complex wounds, fistulae, pressure ulcers, and fecal and urinary incontinence. The CWON or CWOCN Nurse provides specialized knowledge and skill to assist physicians and nursing staff with the management and teaching of patients with complex skin care needs, and guidance for selection of related product formulary.
  • Integrates evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, patients, their family/designated care partner(s) preferences and cultural beliefs and values for delivery of optimal health care.

Qualifications 

To qualify as a Nurse Program Coord - Wound Services, you must meet the following requirements for consideration: 

  • BSN Degree, Masters in Nursing preferred
  • CWOCN required
  • State Issued RN license 
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association 
  • Minimum 2 year’ experiences as a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse. 1 Year of supervisory experience preferred
