JOB SUMMARY
Technical Solutions Architect with strong Ruby expertise, responsible for designing and delivering scalable, API-driven integration solutions for large enterprise customers on a global SaaS platform. This role combines hands-on software development with solution architecture, technical discovery, and client-facing design leadership. The position focuses on building middleware integrations, translating business requirements into technical solutions, validating architecture against platform best practices, and supporting solution scoping across the full project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy custom software solutions in Ruby, including middleware and integration components.
Architect and build API-driven integrations between Smartsheet and third-party enterprise systems.
Lead technical discovery and solution design sessions with customers to define scalable, high-performance architectures.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and validate solution designs against platform standards and best practices.
Support pre-sales technical scoping and contribute to solution quality through documentation, testing, and architectural reviews.
Qualifications
5+ years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Ruby, preferably Ruby on Rails.
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
Experience integrating SaaS applications within enterprise environments.
Solid understanding of systems architecture and scalable solution design principles.
Experience leading technical initiatives from solution design through delivery.
