About the role
The Fastening Team Member will be responsible for providing support to the daily operation, minimizing production downtime, and solving technical issues related with torque systems on production of company’s world-class vehicles. Excellent attendance is crucial for teams to achieve success. She/he must have the ability to work with various departments across General Assembly. They will also be required to work closely with engineering, quality, and suppliers in various aspects of the overall manufacturing process. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within company and outside.
You Will:
- Provide technical support and guidance on fastening‑related matters, including troubleshooting basic fastening system issues.
- Support torque system line calls and assist with reaction plans for system damage per GA procedures.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and other departments to meet production goals and implement process changes.
- Work with Fastening Engineers to inventory torque systems, accessories, and spare parts.
- Follow standardized quality control procedures and perform line audits for labels, sockets, tooling, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and Environmental Health & Safety requirements, including PPE.
- Promote a safe, clean, and organized work environment through regular equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance fastening processes and overall efficiency.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support any required shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have command of the English language both written & verbal.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to stand and walk on hard surfaces for 8–12 hours per shift and safely lift, carry, push, or pull 10–50 lbs. regularly, with occasional assisted lifts up to 75 lbs.
