Responsible for accurate and quality document preparation, document scanning, data entry and quality assurance of scanned documents.Performs daily processing following established procedures.
Job Duties:
- Receives incoming documents, identifying, and organizing documents by type, distributes to appropriate staff and/or location.
- Responsible for accurate and quality document processing into the electronic document management system and/or the electronic health record.
- Required to prepare documents for scanning (including determining logical breaks and unitization of hard copy document) by disassembling prior to scanning and reassembling afterward.
- Reviews both paper and electronic documents, identifies errors, missing indexing elements and coversheets.
- Accurately processes batches of documents across all systems and ingestion methods.
- Utilizes scanning software to create batches, uses appropriate batch class and scanner settings to assure proper filing of documents.
- Accurately tracks daily prepping, scanning, quality control, validation, and quality assurance productivity via spreadsheets for statistical reporting.
- Consistently demonstrates proficiency in all processes and meets production rate to department standards.
- Identifies and troubleshoots needed maintenance of scanning equipment and malfunctions.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
- Provides support to other team members as needed.
- Maintains discretion per HIPAA guidelines.
