POSITION OVERVIEW
KKR's Insurance Product Strategies team is seeking a Principal to serve as a senior product specialist within the Global Client Solutions platform. The Principal will possess deep expertise across the full spectrum of solutions KKR offers to insurance company clients, including multi-asset management partnerships, reinsurance transactions, product development collaborations, wealth and defined contribution solutions, and strategic capital solutions such as sidecars and joint ventures.
The Principal will be responsible for developing comprehensive, tailored partnership proposals for insurance clients and orchestrating execution across KKR's asset classes, insurance business, and broader firm capabilities. The Principal will serve as a key representative of KKR in client discussions, supporting the Global Insurance Client Solutions team in presenting and advancing complex, multi-faceted partnership opportunities. The Principal will partner closely with KKR's insurance business and investment platforms to translate strategic proposals into executable mandates.
This role requires exceptional product knowledge, the ability to synthesize diverse capabilities into cohesive client solutions, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills to drive successful outcomes across multiple stakeholders. The Principal will play a central role in advancing KKR's strategic positioning with insurance company clients and will be accountable for the quality, rigor, and commercial viability of partnership proposals.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates will have 6-8 years of experience within asset management, insurance, private markets, investment banking, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated track record in product strategy, capital markets, investor relations, or insurance solutions roles. Successful candidates will bring deep expertise in insurance balance sheet management and a comprehensive understanding of the solutions landscape for insurance companies, including asset management, reinsurance, capital solutions, and strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder client engagements and will have played a meaningful role in structuring or executing insurance-related transactions or partnerships. Direct experience with insurance capital solutions, (re)insurance structures, or insurance M&A is strongly preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in financial modeling, quantitative analysis, PowerPoint, and Excel, with the ability to create sophisticated, client-ready materials
- Deep understanding of the insurance solutions landscape, including asset management mandates, reinsurance structures, capital solutions, strategic partnerships, balance sheet management, and regulatory frameworks (RBC, Solvency II)
- Proven experience serving as a senior client-facing representative with executive presence, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to tailor messaging for sophisticated audiences
- Track record of structuring complex proposals, leading cross-functional initiatives in matrix environments, and influencing without direct authority while managing competing priorities and tight timelines
- Strong commercial instincts with the ability to form and defend strategic viewpoints on markets, portfolio construction, and insurance investor behavior
- Strategic, solutions-oriented mindset with intellectual curiosity, team-oriented collaboration, and high degree of discretion and integrity
