Posting Details

  • Position: Nuclear Medicine Technologist -PET/CT
  • Location: San Martin Oncology Clinic – Intermountain Health
  • Schedule: PRN, as needed
  • Pay: $42.66 -$65.82/hr depending upon experience

Essential Functions

  • Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions
  • Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation
  • Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality and accuracy
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe work environment
  • Follow NRC, Division of Radiation Control, and other regulatory agency standards
  • Complete studies within acceptable timeframes without compromising care
  • Assist and instruct students and other technologists in procedures and equipment use
  • Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns
  • Practice proper infection control and sterile techniques
  • Operate imaging equipment and related systems to ensure quality results
  • Maintain accurate records per state and Joint Commission requirements
  • Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC, and equipment reporting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current license in state of practice
  • Clinical board certification (ARRT or NMTCB)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • IV certification
  • One year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of clinical PET/CT experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
