Role Overview

As a Staff iOS Engineer, you are a thought leader within our Platform Team, responsible for the foundational systems that power the HCP iOS experience. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that our mobile infrastructure not only meets but exceeds the highest standards for reliability, performance, and scalability. 

You collaborate seamlessly across the engineering organization, acting as a technical lighthouse to create and optimize our iOS application's core. Your goal is to provide our Pros with a world-class mobile application that empowers them to streamline operations. You thrive on solving complex systemic challenges, from modularization to deep-stack performance issues. Your talent for clear communication simplifies intricate architectural concepts, ensuring the entire mobile team moves in a unified technical direction. Our team is passionate, empathetic, hard-working, and above all else, focused on improving the lives of our service professionals (our Pros). What you do Each Day 

  • Design and implement high-quality software solutions that meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define project specifications and requirements
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Optimize application performance and scalability
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for software projects
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform development practices
  • Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and retrospectives
  • Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering their growth and development

 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in iOS Engineering, with significant experience in platform or infrastructure-focused roles
  • Exceptional proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, with a deep understanding of UIKit and SwiftUI
  • Expertise in mobile architecture patterns (i.e. MVVM, VIPER, or Modular architectures)
  • Proven track record of managing app performance, memory tuning, and complex multi-threaded environments
  • Strong experience with mobile CI/CD tools and version control (i.e. GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Git)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) as it pertains to high-traffic mobile apps
  • Proven experience driving team efficiency or output quality through the strategic use of AI tools and automation
  • Fluency in both Polish and English
